Don’t you just love it when he says that. Im like screaming to the tele saying “TELL ME!! What was previously on prison break!!” wouldn't want that voice to pick up the phone at pizza hut though. Oh well, long time ago.
In our continuing pursuit to revive the blog (majal ni kami anie), we will be coming up with a new trend of topic. Basically it’s a series of posts titled “Awu-ah moment of the day” or AMD in short.
Definition. Its mainly everything that makes you go awu-ah… or for some people, the extended version which is… awu-ah, banar jua ah. it doesn’t necessarily have to be that way. It cud be a funny but true moment, or just discovered something new moment, it’s the kind of flashes you get like when a cartoon thinks hard then suddenly a light pops out on top of its head. This is all that.
Malay versions of that wud be saat awu-ah? detik awu-ah? buruk bunyinya. we’ll figure out the name soon and will try to even out the posts between languages.
Awu-ah moments are usually very risky and tricky since its different from one person to another. What works for some may not work for others, so we’ll try and be as general as we can. We’ve been wanting to do this for quite some time, but some of the issues are sensitive, and people usually wanna laugh at everything except themselves. But if theres any place to discuss this, it’s here. Lemme explain.
There are some things you can’t say in-person to a person. Say when someone gives u advice, the heart admits yeah your right but the ego says no you aint. You’re stuck in a dilemma now... you don’t wanna loose face so you end up defending your ego which eventually makes you look silly. But it’s a different case if you’re behind the screen. It’s easier to digest critics.
Ultimately, our mission is for the greater good. we talk about these things to raise awareness. And if that happens, insha Allah we can change for the better in the process.
AMD is just theoretical so its definitely open for discussion, questioning and disagreements. We’re also just doin this for the fun of it. Lastly, Our pilot post will be hitting you in approximately few days to a week insha Allah. Happy holidays everyone and remember, Ramadhan is still kareem.
